Research & Discovery

I collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to identify customer needs, problems and opportunities through customer interviews and research. I connect with end users through interviews and field observation to help bring real-life data, research and insights into product teams to build empathy and understanding.

UX & IA

Using both customer insights from research combined with knowledge of top UX standards and heuristics, I craft early foundational architecture for an experience in artifacts such as wireframes and user flows. Starting from problem discovery through user journeys to wireframes, I focus on building a foundation rooted in user understanding for an experience to build on through visual design and implementation.

Interaction & Visual Design

From early discovery and UX methods, I continue to bring design through to delivering high-fidelity mockups and designing end-to-end across experiences. Through visual and interaction design, I create the end look, feel and interactivity of experiences for users. I collaborate with implementation teams of engineering and QA to ensure the end product carries design standards and specifications.

User Testing

I work to test iteratively throughout product design and delivery - whether it's wireframe prototype testing, high-fidelity prototypes or end production environments, I am passionate about learning early and often to help teams invest the right effort for bringing the user value in the end experience.

Design Operations & Team Management

Beyond the work, I care about teams and have had many opportunities to help understand the experience of the teams working on products. I've led design thinking workshops to help teams take time to reflect on their current state and identify opportunities to mature within companies and streamline operations,resulting in lower cost for businesses to manage and support teams and leading to improved team confidence and morale.

Community & Leadership

I remain incredibly dedicated and passionate about building community and helping bridge the diversity gap in technology. I've had the honor and privilege to volunteer and be a local leader for organizations that focus on empowering + connecting women and underrepresented groups to technology and building communities for design.
